Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhat?

-Someone requesting a meeting with you then they yawn through the entire call

-Scheduling a video interview in the lobby of the building so everyone else is either trapped or an unwilling participant

-Asking for chicken and getting fish

-People who have super short hair yet insist it WILL go into a ponytail only to have 90% of it fall out of the rubber band anyways and pretend not to realize only three strands of hair are actually being pulled back.

-pants below the butt crack

-hats tipped up so that they aren't actually resting on the head but on the side.

-Getting spam snail mail addressed to "Mr. French"

-Stupid people

-Getting spam email addressed to "Mr. French"

-Asking for Burhata and getting a Paratta instead

-Putting a blue collar on your cat only to have it rub off on him so he looks like a punk rocker

-Waking up to a flea in my eyeball

-Panicking because you don't have the right shoes and have had months to find the right ones yet choose to fret in an online public forum then get pissy when you get a response that is snarky.

These are just a few.  I'm sure this Whimpy Pallav will have more.

Growing Pains

It's been a tough four weeks for me.  I'm re-evaluating what is important and who is important to me.  I'm learning to step out of my bubble and take a look at my behavior and how i participate in the fuel added to fire.  For the most part I've been doing a pretty good job at keeping myself centered and focused.

I had a "light bulb" moment at work and saw how my behavior can sometimes cause people to just not want to deal with me.  So  now that i've seen it in someone else I'm more mindful of my own interactions.

Classes are going o.k. I'm struggling with the terminologies but the concepts i get pretty easily.  I'm a horrible test taker so i'm hoping my papers and participation in and outside of class will help just a little with my overall understanding.  I'm having difficulty finding balance to school and work and personal obligations.  I feel like i'm being pulled in 10 different directions and each direction is just as important and deserves just the same attention as any other direction.  I envy you moms!  NO WONDER wine is a staple in your diet :)

I unfriended someone today. This person made a fool of me and hurt me badly once and was on the way to doing it again.  My boundaries were crossed and I had to walk away.  It's something that should've been done a long time but for my own reasons i was hoping beyond hope that things would've worked out but recent actions have proven me wrong.  Be forewarned...this Whimpy Pallav is not an idiot.  Don't take my compassoin and understanding to mean stupid and a door mat.

Employee Evaluation

On a personal level I am :
-my own boss
-the mail clerk that delivers the mail
-the lowly employee in the darkest corner of the basement clinging onto her red Singleton stapler for dear life.
 -I make the rules
-I choose when to break them
- I also choose when to change them.
-I pick my lunch hour
-I take my holiday in the form of "checking out" when i see fit

but most importantly

-I evaluate myself on a regular basis just to keep myself grounded.

I've been working on my health A LOT but there was one or two aspects that i have been neglecting and could use "room for improvement".  That being growth in my spirit & mind.

Here enters (in my opinion) the BEST OF THE BEST Life Hypno-coaches that I have ever encountered today.  I met Kym at the Hypnotherapy conference this year. I really felt like she was on the same wave length of me so at the conference dinner I brought up that i wanted to seek her guidance on some issues that i had thought were resolved but were not. She was open and excited to work with me.

Two months later....I've worked on my "needs improvements" and have met with Kym for three sessions so far and whether she knows it or not these three sessions have really been the shake earthquake that i needed.  She has helped me see that I AM worth it.  I should not discount my own feelings and thoughts just to please others even when my own feelings and thoughts are hurt.  What is important to me at this moment in time is what she's been engraving into my noggin.  She's also showed me that to be the most stellar hypnotherapist i can be I need I HAVE TO deal with the ugly darkness within me.  There's no other way to help those who are seeking the same peace that I'm inches away from finding other than to go through my own darkness.

Kym has shown me that not only have I done SO MUCH work and healed SO MUCH but i didn't see just HOW MUCH i had grown.  With a little prodding and tough love she is making me the hypnotherapist/soon-to-be Ayruvedic practitioner that I envision myself to be.

Hooray for this Whimpy Pallav!

Romny tries Yoga

So part of my education is that i have to start taking up Yoga.  My school offers free classes on Monday nights.   So I signed up and thank god it was a small class because as much as in my head I looked like this....

I'm 99.9% sure I looked more like this....

Hip hip hooray! Summer is here!

Next to Halloween, summer gives me stirrings...o.k. maybe a little TMI but I am a sun worshiper.  I love the sun, the long days, lazy Sundays, sleeping with the windows open, warm nights and one of my favorite flowers is back in season.

I love to sit and read on the porch while sipping a gin & tonic into the wee hours of the night while wearing next to nothing allowing the air to wrap me up like a warm blanket.

Summer is also a time to be mindful that although I love the sun I need to be careful.  I'm extremely sensitive to the sun.  If I'm in the sun too long without a hat I get a headache, my skin burns to a crisp (even if i use sun screen with a level of 50), and I'm left feeling drained and depleted of all life force.  So with this in mind i need to find my happy middle place.

Finding shade is essential, wearing clothing that covers enough to stop the sun from burning my skin but light enough that I'm not sweating, and while I'm staying cool on the outside nourishing my body with food and drinks that keep me cool on the inside.

Foods and drinks that are light are on the menu this season.  Choosing rice over pasta, salads that are more wet in consistency over dry, and drinks like Mango Lasi are the drinks of choice.  Tastes  more in sweet and cooling in nature are recommended.  Some good "go to" vegetables like cucumber, squash, and dhoodi are good choices.  Spices like cumin, fennel, cilantro, and mint are also good choices.

This Whimpy Pallav is embracing Summer in a new lens this year and is very excited!
